Nathan Simpson-Coffelt is from Albuquerque, NM and his passion is live performances and storytelling. After a five year “retirement” from theatre and an attempt to lead a normal life, Nathan is back as the owner of Imaginathan Entertainment, which aims to produce unique performance events in New Mexico. While getting his BA in Theatre from the University of New Mexico, Nathan was nominated for the prestigious Irene Ryan Award for his performance in Migdalia Cruz’ Fur. He appeared as one of Walter White’s chemistry students in the first three episodes of Breaking Bad. Nathan was a founding member of Blackout Theatre Company, then was a member of Tricklock Company for many years before moving to Minneapolis where he started Make Theatre Company, a production company that produced tours for International artists across the country. He has performed in Revolutions International Theatre Festival (Albuquerque), Passing the Flame Festival (Belgrade, Serbia), Minnesota Fringe Festival (Minneapolis, MN), International Thespian Festival (Lincoln, Nebraska), Words Afire Festival (University of New Mexico), High Mountain Hideout Festival (Taos, NM) and in a humid warehouse next to Schindler’s warehouse in Krakow, Poland.

Rusty Rutherford’s twisted comedy has “More Energy Than A High School Cheer Squad” (Montreal Fringe Festival). He was named 2016 Best Comedian in Albuquerque (Albuquerque Alibi) and you may recognize a little of your own insanity in Rusty’s odd but relatable look at society around him while becoming sucked into the fun he is having on stage. Rutherford’s comedic journey has taken him to venues of all shapes and sizes across America, Canada, and even Rio Rancho and has even landed him an appearance on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. Rutherford has been member of Blackout Theatre Company and Eat, Drink and be Larry sketch comedy troupe and has trained with Tricklock Theatre in Albuquerque, NM and The Annoyance Theatre in Chicago, IL. Whatever you expect, throw it out the window and expect the unexpected in what can only be described as hilarious structured insanity.

Stephen Armijo has been doing theatre and music shenanigans since elementary school, but it didn’t really take until high school. He studied film at College of Santa Fe and earned his BA in Theatre at the University of New Mexico, followed by a Master’s in Secondary Education. He daylights as an educator when he’s not on stage. A born and raised Burqueño. Albuquerque has empowered his love for storytelling with a Duke City flair. He somehow manages to balance his passion for arts with his love of teaching. Whether it is in the classroom or on the stage, storytelling and performance are his life’s calling. Stephen is a member of Blackout Theatre and is excited to be a part of Imaginathan and have the coveted role of Nathan’s Best Friend(TM).

Ezekiel Gomez grew up in video stores, discount cinemas, and quiet libraries learning about and falling in love with humanity through the art of film. He considers himself to be a pop-culture savant and a walking movie database. He also cries in movies way too often (and far too easily). He sometimes writes about film, queer identity, and pop culture.

Javier Ortega is a singer/songwriter/guitarist in Albuquerque. Native to the Duke City, Javier studied music at UNM and has played in many musical projects throughout NM, the USA, and abroad. After uprooting and moving to South America for a total of 14 months, he had written a number of songs that represented a straightforward and pure musical expression that focused less on technical facility and more on harmony and chord movement. After gathering an all-star band composed of people he teaches with at Hummingbird Music Camp, Javier recorded an album live in front of 120 of his closest friends and family. This album is called Ten Years in a Day and is available on iTunes and Spotify. Currently, Javier can be seen playing solo, duo, and trio acoustic sets throughout NM which feature his original music cosily nestled amongst carefully selected and arranged covers.
